VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask Review: Is it worth it?
One of the most common concerns I hear people complain about is the under-eye area.
Take a look at the self-care aisle, and you’ll find many products suited to address different under-eye concerns. You’ll mainly find two options to help you with: Eye creams and Eye masks.
I must have tried a dozenillion products myself before I recommend any to my clients and hence wanted to share my take on the VIIcode’s eye masks today.
What is an eye mask?
An eye mask, better known as an under-eye mask is a sheet mask dedicated to target concerns under and around the eyes specifically.
There are a range of options to choose from, from hydrating and anti-aging ingredients like hyaluronic acid or retinol to those meant to tighten and tone the skin.
Why Choose an Eye Mask over an Eye Cream?
An eye mask may look fancy, but I personally feel they work better.
Unlike eye creams, which have the chance of getting wiped away, the ingredients in an eye mask remain concentrated and limited to the area of treatment.
This also helps the beneficial ingredients to penetrate deeper and have a better effect.
Are you wondering why choose something dedicated to the eye area at all?
It is absolutely fine to use your face cream for the eye area as well. In fact, that is what I recommend to anyone starting on their skincare journey to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
But suppose you want to address specific eye concerns, such as reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, and dark circles, or simply wishing to eliminate puffiness. In that case, using a product dedicated to the eye area will be an excellent option to consider.
Also, remember that the under-eye area has the thinnest skin and is one of the most delicate areas. Hence, you will not be able to use products that have strong ingredients and contain higher ingredient concentrations as that could have an opposite effect to what you wish to achieve in the first place.
Furthermore, eye masks are ideal for all ages.
The VIIcode O2 Oxygen Eye Mask
The VIIcode oxygen eye mask comes as a pack of 6 eye masks.
The ingredients are present within a cool gel conform that shapes around the eye, thereby infiltrating the entire area with soothing and rare plant ingredients like those from Vadaniya (directly from the Alps), marigold, welwitschia mirabilis, fern, and sargassum palladium.
Ingredients of VIIcode O2 Eye Mask: Aqua glycerin, cellulose, carbomer, mentha arvensis, butylene glycol, cellulose gum, tetrasodium EDTA, Triethanolamine, Vitis vinifera seed oil, allantoin, tartaric acid, sodium hyaluronate, vitamin e, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, camellia sinensis leaf extract, lavandula anguvstifolia, aloe barbadensis, align, CO-Q10, sodium butylparaben, isobutylparaben, propylparaben, ethylbisiminomethylguaiacol manganese chloride.
I compared the ingredients with some of the leading eye masks available in the market, and apart from a few that I am not a fan of, most of them are lovely plant-based ingredients that are very effective in reducing puffiness and toning the skin.
It also contains effective recovery molecules that transport the rich oxygen energy skin deep, thereby continuously enhancing the skin’s oxygen content and increasing the muscle’s oxygen absorption capacity.

How do you use an Under-Eye Mask?
Each pair includes easy-to-apply under-eye pads that are extremely gentle and specifically designed to repair the skin around the eye area.
My first experience after its application was a cool and calm feeling, that gave my eyes an instant refreshment after a long day of work.
The package instructions ask one to apply the eye mask for 8 hours; the best time is to use it after you cleanse your face and before retiring to bed. When you wake up, you will have depuffed eyes and feel refreshed while the active ingredients perform their action all night long.
The eye masks are very easy to use. You simply have to peel them, apply them to the under-eye area, and proceed to restful slumber.
The only possible con is that it might seem slightly pricy compared to the thousands of others available on the market. But I must admit, the extraordinarily soothing and effective plant extracts used in the product make this a luxury pampering eye spa experience worth indulging in.
How Often Should you Use the Under-Eye Mask?
Use the eye mask twice weekly for at least the first two weeks for the best results. After two weeks, once a week is ideal for long-term maintenance.
